Talking to a legend at Heartland festival

This summer we were invited to Heartland Festival in Denmark where Astrid Birnbaum had a conversation with Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster

"-I am always curious. It’s part of my being."

The talk took place in a quiet, green corner of the festival, set in the historic gardens of Egeskov Castle. The discussion touched on key themes in Gonzalez-Foerster’s work, from the role of fiction and performance in her practice to the influence of music and everyday life.

Known for her immersive installations and interdisciplinary approach, she shared insights into how her ideas take shape. Listen now

Heartland feels less like a typical festival and more like stepping into a living conversation. Set in the gardens of Egeskov on Funen, it weaves music, art, food, and talks into a few slow, immersive days. While we were there, we ate some truly memorable food, discovered products from Noma Projects, spotted artworks scattered across the grounds, and listened to a wide range of music artists.

What stayed with us most was the setting itself, the close-to-nature vibe, the sense of space, and the genuinely welcoming feeling that runs through it all.

Is this the holy grail of Scandinavian vintage design?

Paul Jackson is the founder of Jacksons, one of Stockholm’s most celebrated design galleries, known for its rare mix of Scandinavian masters and international design icons.

Later, Adam Trunoske joined the gallery, bringing new perspectives and energy to the business.

In this episode of Design Vox, host Thommy Bindefeld talks to Paul and Adam about the origins of Jacksons, how it grew from a personal passion into an internationally respected gallery, and the dynamics of working side by side.

Together, they share stories about discovering unique pieces, curating exhibitions, and shaping a gallery that continues to influence the way we experience and collect design. Listen now

About Super Vox

In 2020 we started our journey by exploring art through a monthly series of live talks. Then we moved on to introduce our podcast on art, Art Vox.

There is a natural connection between the disciplines of art, design and architecture and we bring them together in one destination.

You can enjoy stories, interviews and live events with us by listening to our podcasts, watching our videos, reading our texts and attend any of our in person gatherings.

Our main logo for Super Vox is reduced to a minimum, using only two basic shapes to illustrate VOX. The triangle and the circle. For our new palette, Klein Blau, Jade green and Orange, we had a little help from Tal R, bless you!

We exist both off line and on line and we serve our audience with talks, podcasts and other related content and events. Read more
